Thomas G. Eddy, Esquire | General Counsel

Tom Eddy joined BPU as its General Counsel in February of 2009. He obtained his B.S. degree in Economics from West Virginia University, and attended the MBA program in Finance at Michigan State University concurrently with law school, receiving his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1985. He is a former partner in the Pittsburgh law firm of Eddy and Osterman. After leaving private practice, Mr. Eddy served as a Senior Deputy Attorney General representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and its officials in civil litigation matters arising in federal and state courts. Most recently, he was a member of the Advanced Markets Support Team with MetLife, focusing on business, tax, financial and estate planning. He brings extensive experience in business administration and planning, financial management and the development of business plans for investment capital and valuation purposes. He has served as a principal, officer and counsel to numerous businesses in the manufacturing, mining, and construction industries, retail, and the development of real estate. Mr. Eddy currently holds his PA Life, Accident & Health insurance and FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses.

Mr. Eddy is a former legal consultant to The National Congress for Fathers and Children, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of The Gym of Future Champs, a non-profit youth development organization. He is married with two children, and resides in Peters Township.
