Joseph J. Virostek Jr, CFA® | Managing Director of Investments

Joseph J. Virostek Jr., CFA® was hired in February 2007 as Vice President of Investment Operations by BPU Investment Management, Inc. His responsibilities include management of due diligence and monitoring, as well as portfolio trading, performance reporting and portfolio accounting.

Prior to his employment with BPU Investment Management, Inc. he worked at First Commonwealth as an investment advisor and as Vice President and Risk Analyst for Mellon Financial Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA.  He has over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry encompassing securities trading and evaluation, investment management, compliance, risk management and auditing.

Mr. Virostek earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from John Carroll University in Cleveland and a masters degree in Energy Resources from the University of Pittsburgh.  He also holds FINRA series 7 and 24 securities licenses.

He serves as a member of the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, VA and the Pittsburgh Society of Financial Analysts.

Mr. Virostek resides in Allison Park, PA with his wife, Lale, and four children.
